Garber - The funeral for Ralph Martin, 82, will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the 1st United Methodist Church in Garber. The Rev. Craig Dietert will officiate. Burial will be in the Garber Cem. under direction of Sisson Fuenral Home, Garber.
He was born August 28, 1911 at Fairmont to Rasho Alvin Pat Nelson & Frona Sisson Martin and died Wesdnesday May 25, 1994 at Bass Memorial Baptist Hospital, Enid.
He moved with the family to Guthrie at an early age started in business with a paper route and a milk route. He then moved to Billings before moving to Garber where he was a longtime owner of the Martin Food Store. He was member of the 1st Methodist Church, active in several committees, a longtime Lion and Member of the CC.
He married Helen Marie Culp at Perry. She died in 1992 November 4. Surviving are one daughter, Glenda Gibbons of Tulsa; one son, Leroy of Garber; 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. |
